Journey's End Ratings

The BBC are expecting an audience of up to 10 million viewers to tune into the finale of Series 4 of Doctor Who, Journey's End, this Saturday.

Some of their tightest security measures yet have been put into place to ensure that the plot for the final episode isn't leaked before its broadcast.

9.1 million people watched the start of the series, Partners in Crime, back in April, but producers are sure that that figure will be beaten after the shocking regeneration cliffhanger at the end of the last episode.

"There's a limited amount of information on the website about the final episode, but it's fair to say we want to keep it quiet, in fact we want to keep it as secret as possible," a spokewoman said. "We put a block on sending out preview tapes so no-one could find out how it ended, we even chopped off the last few minutes of the tapes for the 12th episode so there would be no clues."

Stolen Earth Reunion

Nevermind the return of Davros, the current issue of Radio Times has declared the Doctor and Rose Tyler's timely reunion in The Stolen Earth as 'Moment of the Week' instead!

They say:

"Romantics will let out a little sigh as the Doctor sets eyes on Rose for the first time since she became trapped in an alternative universe. It's current companion Donna who sees her first and the look on the Time Lord's face as he turns towards Rose again is unmistakeable. Just like in those old Hollywood movies, the pair dash towards one another for a joyful reunion..."

Awww, so cute, I can't wait!

We hear the Belle De Jour star has been giggling over boys’ names for the baby she’s expecting with husband Laurence Fox.
A source says: “Billie thinks she is having a boy. She was saying to the crew she needs a list of boys’ names and was laughing about ‘Timmy’.
“And her cravings are getting out of control. She’s scoffing chocolate croissants, bars of chocolate and hot chocolate

The Return Of Rose

Rose Tyler's return is, naturally, the television event of the year, and loads of magazines are running special articles on her comeback this week.

This week's issue of TV and Satellite Week, for example, features an exclusive interview with executive producer Russell T Davies. He dicusses how Rose's character has changed since we last saw her at the end of Series 2.

"She's older, tougher and more independent because she doesn't have the Doctor to defer to," he told the magazine. "She's become her own woman, just like he always wanted, but she's still the same Rose with the same heart, optimism and strength of character. And she still loves him."

And, of course, the hot topic on all of our minds is the anticipated reunion between the Doctor and Rose, which will take place at the end of episode 12, The Stolen Earth.

He teased: "Everyone wants to see them together, but they don't meet until the biggest climax ever next week."The Who supremo has also been chatting to Radio Times.

"The Doctor and Rose just complete each other," he said. "She had a humdrum life, with horizons no further than the chip shop, and he showed her the universe."At the same time, the Doctor was damaged and scarred after the Time War and Rose showed him compassion again.""Just way till you see his face when he claps eyes on her again!" he added. "She was always very special to him, but I don't think he realises how much until he learns of her return."

Billie's Baby

Billie Piper is reportedly craving Greek food during her first pregnancy - and husband Laurence Fox is doing his best to provide it for her.

The former Doctor Who star is said to be around four months pregnant and believes she’s expecting a baby boy - and Laurence, who married Billie on New Year’s Eve last year, is keen to do all he can to help her during the pregnancy.

A source told the Daily Mail: “Billie is always hungry, so Laurence is cooking non-stop. He’s doing moussakas, Greek salads and meze [dishes]. “Laurence is working 24/7 to make Billie feel cared for. He wakes up during the night to check if she is OK.”

Billie plays Belle De Jour

On an early summer evening, Billie Piper is sitting in the back garden of a pub near her country home.

She's talking about sex and a city girl - the London-based professional escort Belle, whom she portrays in the Showtime series "Secret Diary of a Call Girl," premiering June 16 in the United States.
In Canada it runs on Showcase and premiered last fall. "I was thinking it was quite racy for America," says Piper as she ponders just how the series will come across in the United States.

In the United Kingdom, when it first aired last September it was blasted in the media for glamorizing prostitution."I thought it was a side to prostitution that we are not normally exposed to, and I thought there was a story worth telling there," Piper says in defence. "I kind of knew it was going to cause a bit of an uproar, especially because I was playing the part. People are always so used to me doing children's shows or family drama."
