Secret Diary Of A Call Girl gets 748,000 Viewers


The second series of ‘Secret Diary of a Call Girl’, in which Billie Piper plays the titular prostitute, opened far short of the first series ratings with just 748,000 viewers on ITV2 last night, according to unofficial overnight figures.

The first 30-minute episode captured a 3.8% share of the audience at 10-10.30pm, following a heavyweight marketing campaign including press ads and posters.
The first series launched with 1.9m viewers and averaged 1.1m viewers and a 7.2% share.
The second episode followed at 10.30-11pm with 715,000 viewers and a 4.7% share.
This was followed by the first episode from the fifth series of the acclaimed US drama ‘Entourage’, which had 115,000 viewers and a 1% share at 11-11.30pm.
The Channel 4 documentary ‘The 9/11 Faker’ scored a solid 3.1m viewers and a 14.2% share at 9-10pm, including figures from Channel 4+1.

The prime time slot was won by BBC One’s ‘Crimewatch’, which netted 3.7m viewers and a 17% share at 9-10pm.
ITV1’s ‘Fiddles, Cheats & Scams’ was watched by 3m viewers earning it a 13.9% share in the same slot.
It was beaten by BBC Two’s ‘Mock the Week’, with 3.5m viewers and a 15.
