Billie On Extra

Billie Regains Pre-Baby Shape

Billie Piper turned up for Carson Daly’s chat show in LA last week wearing a sexy black pencil skirt and sunshine-yellow T-shirt.
The 26-year-old Secret Diary Of A Call Girl star, who gained 2st 5lb while pregnant with son Winston, is now just 5lb off her pre-pregnancy weight of 9st.
How on earth has 5ft 5in Billie, who’s still breast feeding, managed it?
Our source reveals: ‘She’s often so tired or busy looking after Winston that she just forgets to eat and can make do on dinner and fruit all day.
‘But Billie’s eating really healthily and makes sure she only has healthy snacks if she gets hungry between meals.’
Banned from doing strenuous exercise following her emergency Caesarean, Billie also owes her toned figure to a comprehensive postnatal yoga and Pilates programme, which she does three times a week.
‘Billie does lots of gentle yoga and is starting to tone with reasonably heavy weights,’ says our source. ‘It’s really helped to reduce her stretchmarks. The ones she has are very faint.’
Other exercises include gentle stomach zip-ups – designed to knit stretched tummy muscles back together – leg raises and tummy toners.
To complement her fitness regime, Billie’s also been having regular lymphatic drainage massages to shift water retention

Billie Happy With Rose's Ending

Billie Piper has revealed that she was pleased with how her character, Rose Tyler, left the show at the end of Series 4.
The actress, who appeared as the Doctor's much-loved companion from 2005 to 2006, bowed out at the end of the show's second series. But she made a timely return last year and reprised the role for 3 episodes.
In the end, she and the Doctor were forced to separate once again, however this time she was left with a human version of the Time Lord who she could grow old and live happily ever after with."I was pleased with it," Piper said. "You kind of want to go with Doctor #1, but it just couldn't be. But it's fun. It was great, and an adventurous and epic finale to the show."She added: "I was pleased, and it's always really good fun to go back and do Doctor Who."

Billie on New Doctor : The TARDIS Is in Good Hands

Billie Piper, who has gone from playing Rose Tyler to turning tricks as Showtime’s Call Girl, has a message for Doctor Who fans: Relax.
Asked to weigh in on David Tennant’s successor as the BBC series’ Time Lord, Piper tells TVGuide.com she is a “big-time” fan of Matt Smith. “I love him.”
Addressing the concern that Smith, at 26, is too young to effectively play the good Doctor, Piper notes, “The fans get so concerned about these things, and they should just relax. It’s going to be fine. They’re in good hands.”

In fact, she argues that Smith’s scant years will serve him well in the role. “He’s a stirring actor, and he has the right energy,” she says. “That’s what the Doctor’s is about, essentially — having that energy that you just can’t understand.”
Piper pooh-poohs talk that a female — perhaps even herself — was being eyed to helm the TARDIS. “David [Tennant] has joked about me doing it, but … I don’t think the Doctor should be a woman,” she says. “It’s like going, ‘Let’s make James Bond a woman.’ It’s a man’s role.”
Being a big fan of Smith’s, might Piper be tempted to pay a return visit to Whoville? “I don’t know,” she hedges. “It’s hard. Sometimes you just want to leave something behind, and then you see an episode and are like, ‘God I really want to do it!’ You change your mind all the time.”

Billie Discusses Life as a Call Girl

Billie Piper was on hand today at the Television Critics Association press tour to promote the second season of Secret Diary of a Call Girl, which will make its American debut on Showtime this Sunday. Clips from Season 2 were shown, in which Piper’s call girl character Belle/Hannah meets a new love interest – one she becomes very close with, even as she continues to keep it secret from him what she does for a living. In the meantime, her professional life is threatened by Bambi, a young new prostitute who angers Belle by trying to take her clients from her. One memorable moment has Belle asked what her personal skills are, and she replies, “I can put a condom on without using my hands.”

Asked if fans have reacted to her differently since the show began, Piper replied with a smile, “Men don’t come anywhere near me anymore. They seem so threatened by me now. They just stare for ages, like I’m going to do something wild and raunchy. Much to their disappointment, that never happens.” She also added, “Lots of guys ask me sex based questions, so it’s an interesting place to be!”

Billie and Laurence with Winston in Miami

New parents Billie Piper and Laurence Fox have been enjoying their first family holiday since the birth of their son Winston.
The couple were celebrating their first wedding anniversary in Miami with the three-month-old, and appeared to be taking to parenthood with ease, both clearly besotted by their son.
Billie looked like a natural mother as she cradled the infant’s head, while a delighted Laurence laughed and made faces at the baby.
At one point Laurence, 30, affectionately planted a kiss on his wife’s shoulder, leaving no doubt that the couple are as deeply in love as when they married.
The baby, whose head was guarded from the sun by a soft denim cap, contentedly dozed against the actress’s chest as she and her husband enjoyed ice lollies, cooling down in the shade from the fierce Florida sun.
The Secret Diary Of A Call Girl star and her husband have been staying at the prestigious Shore Club hotel for the past two weeks.

Chris Evans sets up trust fund for Winston

DJ Chris Evans and Billie Piper have proved celebrity divorces don’t need to be acrimonious by remaining close friends since splitting four years ago.
Now the ginger-haired presenter is setting up a trust fund for Billie’s three-month-old son, Winston.
A mutual friend said Evans is ‘very close’ to Billie and her husband Laurence Fox, who married in December 2007.
‘He is putting money into an account for Winston for when he turns 18,’ said the pal.

Baby Number 2

Billie Piper and husband Laurence Fox are apparently trying for another baby.
The young married couple are besotted with two-month-old son Winston and want to have another brother or sister for him as soon as possible.
A source told The Daily Express: “Billie believes there’s no point waiting. She reasons that two small children won’t be any more work than one and they want Winston to have a sister or brother close to him in age.
“It wouldn’t be a massive shock if she announces another pregnancy this year - they’re keen to have a big family and want to get on with it.”
Billie, 26, and Laurence, 30, spent Christmas holidaying in the Miami sunshine where Laurence was spotted being a hands-on dad, changing nappies and playing with Winston in the sea.
The source revealed: “Laurence decided to whisk Billie and Winston away to warmer climes as she was fed up with the bitter cold and becoming very tired. They took off at the last minute because Laurence wanted to give her some sunshine and rest.”
The couple met when they starred together in stage play Treats in 2006 and married on December 31 2007.

Secret Diary Actress Shrugs Off Contraversy

Starring as an upscale prostitute on Showtime’s “Secret Diary of a Call Girl,” British actress Billie Piper finds she’s still immersed in controversy, even as the show is going into its second season Jan. 18. “Some people hate me for doing this show and are disgusted that I would even consider it, and these are my friends,” she tells us. “Other people often come up to me and say that they love the book and it’s great to finally see it on screen. Certainly people in the UK are used to seeing me playing teenagers or women from the Jane Austin time so to suddenly step out and play this part, I think, in a way, it’s offended a few people.”
Despite any criticism, Piper, who recently became a mom for the first time, says it’s still important for her as an actress to pick parts that satisfy her creatively. “I’m not sure that just because I’m a mum, I’m suddenly going to lose my passion for controversial pieces,” she notes. “As much as it’s nice to have the popularity vote, at the same time, you have to do what satisfies you professionally. Part of being an actor is exploring people’s lives and different stories. You can’t please everyone. It’s a losing battle. And I don’t really want to. I want to do things that make me feel interested.”

Doctor Who The Musical?

From: dailystar.co.uk
Nothing warms the cockles of Goss’s heart more than when a TV golden couple who have gone their separate ways team up one more time.
Like millions of other fans of Doctor Who, we shed more than a tear or two when the Doc said his final farewell to Rose Tyler last summer.
But now it looks like the two will be reunited – at least on stage.
We hear David Tennant, 37, right, has agreed to sign up for Doctor Who: The Musical, which is due to hit the stage later this year.
But dishy David has agreed to do it only if he has his old pal Billie Piper, 26, by his side.

“Viewers know there is an on-screen chemistry between David and Billie, but that extends to off-screen as well as they are great mates.
“David loves working with Billie as they have such a laugh and Billie thinks the same.
“So when David said he’d do it with the provision Billie was his leading lady, how could she refuse?”
