As Billie Piper prepared for the launch of the third series of ITV’s Secret Diary Of A Call Girl, she was presented with an offer she couldn’t refuse… a chance to meet the real-life Belle Du Jour.Dr Brooke Magnati, 34, is the high-class escort whose blog became the bestselling book on which the show is based.
As a forerunner to the series, the girls were brought together for a TV show entitled Billie And The Real Belle Bare All, with Billie, 27, cast in the role of interviewer.

Billie Piper: When did you decide to write a blog?
Belle de Jour: I had a funny experience and I thought, well, I’ll write about it and if anyone else wants to read it they might find it funny too. There are some people who do this job who are racked with guilt about what they’re doing. I’d say get out of it. No amount of money in the world is worth feeling that you’ve betrayed yourself. I didn’t feel that way.
The more I did it, the more I came to enjoy being good at it. It’s like that in a lot of jobs. You must feel, when you’ve absolutely nailed a scene, “That was great! I’ve done it.”
